When it comes to choosing a vacation destination we know the list of possible locations is endless. But Great Guana Cay is unlike any other island or tropical paradise you've ever visited. Our friendly and welcoming people make this place feel like a home away from home and our beautiful white sand beaches, delicious food, amazing sunsets, and activities makes this an escape like no other. 7 miles of long, white sand beaches in the center of the Abaco Islands, Great Guana Cay allows visitors to relax with a book on the beach, belly up at Nippers or Grabbers Dock & Grill, or enjoy activities like sailing, fishing, snorkeling, or diving.

The Elbow Reef Lighthouse in Hope Town is a must climb! Elbow Reef was built in 1862 and is one of the last operational kerosene-fueled lighthouses in the world. Thanks to generous donors and hard-working locals, it has reopened since Hurricane Dorian!
"Piggyville", located on Noname Cay Island, is known for lush trees, sand, and lots and lots of pigs. Just recently Big O's restaurant opened up and tourists and pigs alike love it! Take a ferry or boat over to the island to swim with the pigs, dine, and then feed the pigs your leftovers.
Obviously boating is a big to-do on Great Guana Cay. For water lovers who don't know how to captain a boat we recommend you schedule an Island Hopping tour for sightseeing, snorkeling or diving with Dive Guana. For skilled captains, boat rental is available as well. Just click HERE for details.
The beautiful reefs of Abaco, Bahamas makes for incredible scuba diving. This photo was taken during a Dive Guana dive trip that included stops in Hope Town, Green Turtle Cay and Man-O-War Cay. Dive Guana offers scuba diving for experienced divers and classes for newbies.
If you've ever wanted to snorkel with a Manta Ray, come to Great Guana Cay!
Just off the beach lies the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world. Which means there will be lots of marine life to enjoy, just near the surface of the water. Fish, rays, dolphin, sharks and more! And, yes, Dive Guana offers snorkeling trips!
Grabbers sunsets are Abaco vacation must-sees! Walk over and enjoy a bite and a beverage along with an incredible view, day or night. Grabbers features live music and someone is always dancing. Dock your boat and stay a while for fun, food, and great sunsets! Thanks to Russell Kaplan for the photo of the pool at Grabbers!
Nippers is the only beach bar and grill located on Guana Cay's 4 mile long beautiful, white sand beach. It's world-famous for its location, fun atmosphere, delicious food, and for their "Nipper Juice". Drink enough and they say it can make you forget your beach bag, cell phone, children, and husband! The good news is Nippers is within walking distance from our cottages!
